I write one of these “year in review” posts every year, but this is going to be a weird one. Where do I even begin to summarise 2020? Let’s not forget that it wasn’t all bad though. Despite the absolute mess that is 2020, I’ve had some good times this year as well.

My year in review: 2017
It’s the shortest day of the year. With the end of 2017 just around the corner, it’s time to look back on the past year. It’s been a good year for travelling for me. The year began quite hectic when I finally moved into my new flat. Nevertheless, I managed to make three trips abroad this year. It sounds like a terrible cliché, but I feel like this year has gone incredibly fast. I suppose time really does fly when you’re having fun.

My year in review: 2016
Winter has arrived in the northern hemisphere. With less than eight hours of daylight, today was the shortest day of the year and the start of the astronomical winter. I thought this would be the perfect moment to reflect on the past year. At the same time, as the days will once again start to lengthen, the time has come to look forward to what 2017 will bring.
